Communications Executive

As Communications Executive at SurePay, you’ll be part of our marketing team and work together with the Marketing Manager as well as different departments to achieve the best end product together. The aim of your role will be to continue to generate awareness of SurePay, and help to generate leads for the sales team through content creation and distribution. You’ll work on the most diverse communication issues in the field of marketing and you do everything with these goals in mind: generating leads for sales and generating awareness for SurePay in different countries.

As SurePay grows as a business, we want to find a communications superstar to take on the exciting challenge of spreading the word and helping to generate leads. The successful candidate will work on diverse projects across both marketing and communications - no two days are the same! You have the ability to develop effective campaigns that drive the desired results for various target audiences. 

Our ideal candidate is an experienced professional with proven communications and marketing skills and previous experience working in a B2B environment. You’ll work on a variety of activities from content creation to communication strategy, social media and SEO. Although you’re primarily a communications executive, you don’t shy away from any marketing activity and enjoy working on a broad range of things. Sound like you? Great, we want to hear from you!

Required skills

  • Native level Dutch speaker
  • 2-5 years of work experience in B2B marketing and communications
  • Experience in generating content for various communication channels both on and offline
  • Experience creating social media content eg. LinkedIn, Twitter
  • Knowledge of SEO & SEA
  • Experience with MailChimp and Designer Software are a plus
  • Fluency in English, French and/or German is a plus
  • Experience in organizing events is an advantage

Your main tasks

  • Writing text for newsletters, products, the website, brochures, whitepapers etc.
  • Helping to implement and define the communications strategy
  • Advising on the existing and future mix of resources
  • Managing the CRM, our websites (content, layout) and analytics
  • Helping with implementation and brainstorms around communication and marketing campaigns
  • Developing resources such as presentations, vlogs, etc.
  • Creating content for and managing our social media platforms (LinkedIn / Twitter)
  • SEO - keeping our search profiles up to date and ensuring findability of SurePay
  • Organizing events and round tables

SurePay makes payment easier, more personal and even more secure. We are a Fintech company, with the most well known product being the IBAN-Name Check, also known internationally as Confirmation of Payee. This product is purchased by almost all banks in the Netherlands, but also by major insurers, lenders, ministries and government agencies. 

In total we have already carried out more than 3 Billion checks. Since we went live with IBAN-Name Check, the number of invoice fraud via transfers to Dutch IBANs has decreased by no less than 81%. 

SurePay stems from an innovation program of Rabobank, started in July 2016 and has been an independent BV since the beginning of 2020. SurePay is currently in the transition from startup to scale-up; we are engaged in the international roll-out of our services. In England we now have a foothold and we check 25% of all payments. Other countries are in the pipeline. We are currently working with 3 scrum teams and a business / sales team on our ambitious growth goals.
