As Inside Sales at SurePay you are part of our Business Development team. You are responsible for managing the contact with leads and you provide support to our Business Development team. The aim of your role is to further professionalize our ways of working and to support the realisation of our challenging growth ambitions.

You will report to our Chief Commercial Officer while working closely with different teams such as Business Development, Business Operations and Marketing & Communication. This makes your work versatile and varied. No two days are the same! There is plenty to do at SurePay and we’re looking for someone who is happy to roll up their sleeves and help where needed. In addition to your main tasks, you are given the freedom to take on projects and to think along in improving/professionalizing our activities either independently or in collaboration with colleagues.

Required skills

  • 1-2+ years experience in sales or customer contact
  • Strong commercial mindset
  • Hands-on mentality, analytically strong, precise and accurate
  • Assertive and independent
  • Structured and highly organized
  • Good command of the Dutch and English language
  • Knowledge and experience in the world of payments is an advantage

Your main tasks

  • Initiating, actively tracking and recording customer contact
  • Conducting preliminary research of potential customers who are interested in our products
  • Scheduling appointments with potential customers and also joining the meetings in consultation with the Business Developers
  • Staying up to date on SurePay products
  • Collaborating with other teams to identify potential opportunities and make recommendations 
  • Managing our inbox and reaching out to potential customers by email or telephone 
  • Supporting the Business Developers with follow-up actions
  • When welcoming a new customer, you log all required information into our system so that our Business Operations team can pick up the process
  • Periodically having conversations with existing customers to get feedback on our service and find out and where we can improve
  • Working closely with our Marketing & Communication colleagues to develop relevant communication and customer cases, which we share through our (online) channels

SurePay makes payment easier, more personal and even more secure. We are a Fintech company, with the most well known product being the IBAN-Name Check, internationally also known as Confirmation of Payee. This product is integrated by almost all banks in the Netherlands, but also by major insurers, lenders, ministries and government agencies.

In total we have already carried out more than 3 Billion checks. Since we went live with IBAN-Name Check, the number of invoice fraud via transfers to Dutch IBANs has decreased by no less than 81%. 

SurePay stems from an innovation program of Rabobank, started in July 2016 and has been an independent BV since the beginning of 2020. SurePay is currently in the transition from startup to scale-up; we are engaged in the international roll-out of our services. In England we now have a foothold and we check 25% of all payments. Other countries are in the pipeline. We are currently working with 3 scrum teams and a business / sales team on our ambitious growth goals.
